The separation of powers is like a football team working together. The legislative are like the quarter back suggesting plays (laws). The executive is like the coach and confirms the plays(laws). The president of the football team and the management serves as the judicial branch. If the coach or team makes many bad decisions they will make the decision to declare those acts as wrong.

I like both of your similes. I liked how you highlighted that each food group has to work together in order to maintain a healthy diet. That's why the check and balance system is in place, so that one branch (food group) overpowers another. Do you think that one branch can be viewed as more important as the others, like how some food groups are considered more important? I also like the comparison of separation of powers to a football team. I think it connected because each position and a role to fill, and if working properly, they can produce a good result.
